This is my son's quilt, made to his specifications - out of many old blue jeans, pockets and all.

 About Minimize

Services:

I offer complete quilting services, whether you need to purchase a ready-made quilt, prefer a custom-made quilt, or would like your quilt top professionally quilted.  I use an HQ-16, as it provides me plenty of space in which to work, and is extremely lightweight, allowing for ease of use.

All services are provided in a pet-free, smoke-free environment to ensure the quality of the products is not compromised.

Why Appleberry?

Appleberry is the maiden name of my great-grandmother.  When I was very young, Granny introduced me to the world of quilting by teaching me to make yoyos.  In addition, both my grandmothers also did some quilting, so the name, Appleberry Quilts, is actually a tribute to my quilting ancestry.

Me:

My name is Dwynette Valenti.  I live in Papillion, NE with my husband of over 24 years (Vince) and 3 of my 4 boys - Jeremy (15), Rory (18), and Michael (19).  Tony (22), married Hannah Robertson on Feb. 2, and will make me a grandma sometime in January 2009!  (I'm getting old!).
In 2005, after 15 years of homeschooling, I placed my last child into public school and found myself with a little more time on my hands.  And, since I already did quilting as a hobby, ! decided that perhaps I could turn it into a little home business - that way I have an excuse to buy fabric!  I made my first quilts when I was expecting Michael (one pink and one blue) and have continued to produce quilts quite regularly ever since.  Access to a long-arm quilting machine, and then the purchase of my own in the fall of 2005, has spurred my enthusiasm for producing quilts, as I don't do hand quilting well or quickly.  I love the way quilting allows me to exercize my creativity.  I rarely follow a pattern exactly, but prefer to alter various elements just to see the outcome.  I especially enjoy free-hand quilting for this reason.
